ADVENTURE AWAITS

The Cirque of the Towers: a name that plants the root of excitement into a climbers souls. Home to multiple “50 Classic Climbs of North America,” the Cirque is a mecca of backcountry granite comparable to the quality and quantity of Yosemite Valley. The East Ridge of Wolf’s Head has surreal exposure. The clean knife-edge ridgeline wanders to and fro along the Cirque’s delicate skyline. At times you tunnel through geologic formations and are reborn atop thousands of feet of exposure on the lee side of the ridge. Pingora Peak holds one of the most magnificent routes in the Cirque. The North East Face combines difficult climbing with breathtaking exposure. Whatever your tale that has yet to be woven, Cirque of the Towers will provide ample opportunities to challenge your skills.

Deep Lake: a truly beautiful area of rolling granitic slabs and high alpine lakes with water so clear you can see to its depths. Classics such as Major Dihedral and Southern Wall of Haystack Mountain, The North Ridge of Steeple Peak, and The Southwest Arete of Lost Temple Spire have stood the test of time as test pieces for the grade. They were ushered in by the likes of the legendary Fred Beckey. Fred literally birthed most of the classic alpine climbs in North America. Deep Lake has climbs for all: family friendly, beginner breeding, intermediate, intimidating, and then more difficult than you or I could climb!

The scenery is truly surreal and fishing, hiking, wildflower and wildlife viewing, sun bathing, swimming, and campfires round out the rest day regimen.

Gannett Peak: For those of you who seek the highest point, look no further. The 13,804' monster can be attained over the course of a six-day expedition style climb complete with pack horses and porters. You will weave through glacially carved valleys and into the high alpine tundra that gives way to incredible vistas of the surrounding area.

East Fort Valley: Seeking an adventure deeper into the range? The more unknown East Fork Valley holds a truly wilderness experience with immense buttresses overhead. The rock climbing is enticing and adventurous and offers anything from mountaineering style scrambles, to high quality slab climbs, all awaiting your splendor.
